According to recent news, Health Minister Mark Holland accused the Conservatives of sabotaging the government’s dental care program by calling up dental associations and bullying them.
Yet, the heads of several dental groups have rejected this claim, stating that the Conservative Party has had no influence on their opposition to the plan. Instead, they say the Liberal-NDP coalition’s messaging and implementation is to blame. Dental groups cite opposition to the plan include patients not knowing they will have to pay for some services as some aren’t fully covered in this rollout.
Mark Holland’s latest outburst suggests the reason his dental plan program isn’t working is because Conservatives have frightened dentists into a rebellion. But Conservatives know that Holland’s botched dental plan is just another failure of the Trudeau government.
